In Scotland we're having a drink and having a laugh but in America it's still hours ago due to the time diffence hence sober answers. Would explain grumpy answers. Am I right and just explained a phenomenom?

Everything is so expensive here, that we work ourselves into the grave. That's why we're always serious.

Maybe we're just jealous that we don't have sexy accents, lol.

That's a good one...never thought of that!
Though what explains the grumpy answers even when it is time enough for the Americans to be having a laugh whilst Scottush are properly pissed?

Um, er... it's 6pm on a Friday night here in America (on the east coast) and that means only one thing... HAPPY HOUR. We're just getting started! We'll be all caught up and cheerful again very soon. I'll take a Bushmills on the rocks please (I'm Irish American). Cheers!

Would love to visit Scotland someday!!
