First off if I saw you I wouldn't know all this about you, sry, lol. Anyways besides that, the dedication to this country you've exhibited is far beyond what I or anyone I know has experianced(experienced? no sleep last night..). So for those reasons I would respect you more than the average person. There was a marine in one of my college courses that explained his war experiences when we were discussing a current event. After that everytime he spoke the class was silent in respect to what he had to say. The respect is there for sure.
It doesn't mean that I have to agree with the mission, or commend the government's choices. They were not the one's fighting, you were. Scorning a soldier is disrespectul and pointless. Soldiers are doing an honorable voluntary service to the people in the US. They do not decide their missions, otherwise then maybe you too would decide another objective.
Anyways God Bless the US. God Bless its troops a little more!

I would thank you for standing up for our freedoms and the freedoms of others. I would condole your for all the crap that you went through and all the horrible things you had to see. Then if I could I would show you all the good and wonderful things you accomplished and the thousands of lives you saved and touched by your actions.
Its a shame that people dwell on the bad horrible things, and do not look at all the good that is happening. You seldom hear about all the schools, the drinking water, the electricity, the homes built, the infrastructure restored, the happy people, etc that is happening in Iraq right now. All you see is the bombs and the burning building and the people running and crying. What you don’t see is the children playing outside, without fear of being gassed by their own country.
The hardest thing ever would be to work your butt of, put your life on the line, and return to your home to be spit on. I think every one of those people should have been thrown in jail for treason. Thank you for all that you have done, I for one appreciate it and I respect you for what you did. The reason our families are safe today is because of people like you who put your life on the line for us. I wish more people had the guts you do. Maybe then they would shut their whining mouths and take action.

I would probably talk to you. I spent 3 months in Iraq as a combat medic. However, we have no business in Columbia, and if you want the drug problem solved, legalize and regulate it. Right now, drugs are easier to get for kids than a pack of cigarettes. Overdoses happen mostly because quality is an issue. Lastly, the government has no right to tell people what to do.

As one that was "spit on", I would hope that you can move through those experiences in war and consider the true meaning from that experience, like VN, as a worthless one. Consider how clever the US is by coercing young men into another tragic war. You, like me, were "cannon fodder" and need to warn the rest of the public of the dangers that lurk within the government of the US. Use your knowlege and teach your children to not repeat the mistakes that you have made. Do not tell them lies and do not be lied to by the US government!

Why would you even think that?? You are working and doing your thing for our country too. The ones I don't like are the ones that came back drunk, on drugs, lazy and feel they don't have to work anymore. BTW It's spelled Colombia.
