I guess what I'm asking here is: is polarization actually the essence of everything? Is it really that simple?

I think it's about duality, not polarization. When two stars in the universe are gravitationally drawn together, the larger of the mass will begin to transfer mass to the smaller star. Like yin and yang, we were created to live in an ever-changing world, but I think it is about balance. It is not simple, but I wish it was a little easier. We, as humans, should be able to embrace joy without having to know pain first. But we are so ego-centric, pain makes us actually appreciate pleasure. You don't know what you have until it's gone.

No, good may exist without bad, but the potential for bad has to be there or there isn't any choice, bad is only relative. Cold is the absence of heat, there could not be one without the other. And, your vision could not see light without dark, etc, it is necessary, but is it the actual essence of everything, no. God is the essence of everything and apparently His essence requires three parts, so duality cannot be the ultimate. Then, every possible combination of three creates the number seven which is the next step down from the trinity. Duality is part of reality, but hardly all of it.

No, I don't think that there could be good without bad, because "good" wouldn't be named "good", do you see what I mean? If someone is "good", it is because it has been compared to someone who is "bad". It is the same thing with the temperature, and everything. Polarization is the essence of everything, according to me. And I would add that a same thing can be polarized with many things, if you consider different point of views by turns. Example: Man/Woman - as you said, Man/Boy, Man/God...

No simply it can not, because without good there would not be bad or bad without good its like a balance betwen them two. So lets say everyone was like Flanders ( a charachter from Simpsons series) than the world would be boring, everything would go just good nothing bad happens so now this is how it turns when you are a good person and you have nothing to do you want to do something to excite yourself. So there can not really be just good or bad. And as for hot and cold thats just natural cannot be otherwise.

Good and bad is a morality question. Defining good and bad rests on the idea that such a dichotomy can exist. For myself, morally good and bad are defined in the Bible, so ethical issues are really quite simple. Good is more than just doing what is considered beneficial to oneself or others as Utilitarians would hold. Good is an intrinsic quality of perfection and completeness. Bad would be the opposite of good, and epitomize all that is imperfect and wanting of completeness. With this in mind, would any human being be considered good? The one who is good is God any other being is not good, because they don't measure up to the perfect standard that God has created. Yes, there is good and evil(bad) history is replete with examples of evil deeds, and a few pretty good deeds.

Certainly. You can have 1 without having 0. Cold is an illusion, it doesn't exist. Cold is merely the absence of heat. Heat is all that truly exists, in various degrees (no pun intended).

Morality is the same. There is only Good, and then the absence of it to certain degrees. Evil is an illusion, it has not real entity, it is merely the absence of Good.

If you are looking for moral references check the Bible. Goodness is equated with Holiness... and to be unholy is simply to lack holiness, not to be the antithesis of it. There is no antithesis, there is only degrees of seperation from what is divine.

Good can exist without evil, just as Love can exist without hate.

can there be good w/o bad, hot w/o cold?

No.

there has to be opposites for humans to distinguish what something is and isnt and what something is similiar to to give anything and everything an identity. for example, how would you know if you were the happiest you've ever been without experiencing the same depth of misery on the other side of the balance beam?

polarization is a pervasive tendency, but it's not necessary. There indeed must be some relationship for a concept to separate out from another, or to appear as one. The relationship to other concepts need not be that of opposition. There is no natural opposite to a common chair, for instance.

If i would be Einstein, i would say : yes! They are all the same (for instance : the pain is the greatest joy, and when you are happy, you should think at bad times), but...Einstein is dead. His words are alive. As a regular man, i would say : no! For instance : if my wallet contains 50 $, that is pretty different from a wallet containing 234 $, don't you think? So, as an attempt to answer your questions, i think that all depends on the one who make the difference. If you can't cross a line between tho "opposite" thinks, for you, there is no difference between them, and so on.
