Watching the window break right next to my best friends head as we hit the telephone pole!
But it got worse when my mom walked down the street towards us. Incredibly pissed off.

Good question! Hmm. There's a few of those, but the scariest, now that I look back, is when I got locked inside an old army trunk that had no key when I was a kid. I remember the air getting thinner and saying my goodbyes to my family silently. My brother and his friend were finally able to open the trunk with a hanger, and I was so happy to get out of that thing! Now I have claustrophobia!

I was exorcised...apparently because some demon that personified habits that--get this--TEACHERS at a Christian school I went to decided that me being a pre-pubescent kid wasn't acting all pre-pubescent at all but was actually in the midst of a full out Linda Blair in the "Exorcist" type possession, never mind the fact that the potty-mouth I exhibited was something learned from neighborhood kids.
I can't say that it was particularly scary in the literal sense, but knowing that people who thought in that particular way AND had some sway over my daily life gives me a really nasty case of the creeps that just doesn't go away. On top of that, I'm gay and at times, I actually do shudder to think what these people would do if they found out. Not that I care, but the fact that I live on the same planet with them and breathe the same air is enough to give me a permanent case of the willies.
The second most scary thing was being mugged at gunpoint.

Went to a party, started drinking w/ older ppl there, got slipped a "Micky" (unknown drug) in my beer, passed out, got raped, then was told by the "grape-vine" that the guy who raped me was HIV positive and didn't wear a condom.....
I immediatly went and got tested, but when I went back to the house where the party was to gather up any memories a condom was found and weeks later the test came back negative....
Close call and the most nerve racking month of my life. I learned that if ur gonna party, be around friends who actually care about you or don't party at all.
