Depends how much dough you have got...if your doing it on the cheap there are coach lines like the national express, one I know of is eurolines...either that or get a train through the alps, its quality scenery...or if youve got the balls and the time hitch hike, though only do it if your strong enough, people never tend to pick up more than one male as its quite intimidating..females are usually more accepted. Dont wear sunglasses when youve got your thumb out either..and try make a sign that says your destination, please and thank you. And what ever you do dont stand in a town for example Bordeaux with a sign saying "Bordeaux" like I did because people will just think your a head case!!!!

Train, and you can get to Monte Carlo in minutes from the Nice train station, or on the way there. Go see the Princess Grace Memorial Rose Garden in Monte Carlo, It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Have a great time.

Easiest way is clearly by train. I am not certain the distance, but if possible, take a sleeper car overnight trip. Wake up refreshed for breakfast in Nice.

Drive South to the coast and then West. Absoloutely breathtaking views on the coastal road. But watch out if you suffer from Vertigo.

Train! Or if you are good and confident driver - take the car.....No need for the plane, it's not that far and it's nice route.
