I've got a friend who's a year younger than me and every time I try to talk out something that has to do with her making jokes of something serious to me or something, she always gets really offended. I say it in a nice way and none of it is mean. She doesn't listen to a thing I say b/c she says I'm lying and crap like that.

She even admits that she doesnt kno why she's saying sorry, she just says it to me. I'm trying really hard to work with her.
My family tells me that she is immature, but I don't know what to do.

How can I get my friend to stop starting fights with me when I want to have a mature and calm conversation with her?

Let her be for a while. If she really wants to be your friend, she will try to think about you more.

just tell her what u told us. she might get offended but then she'll realize ur right. i think that's the problem with u. u never give her any pice of advice not to get her offended, when actually that's what she looks 4. 4 u to show interest and give her some piece of advice no mater how rude it sounds. and if she's so "immature" and so 'fight starter' then she will deal just fine with it. and yeah, when she calls u a liar, just admit it in a positive way, no big deal

Just tell her "Look, I want to have a conversation about this, not an argument. You obviously do so I'm going now and when your ready to talk about this like an adult let me know." If she gets back to you great if not oh well. Seriously, do you really want such a high maintenance friend?

If she starts fighting just walk away or leave let her calm down. Then when you think the time is right bring it up to her again. If she is a *TRUE* friend she will bring it back up to you though.

My daughter had a friend like this, this girl would always say and do things to make her cry and feel bad. I told her she wasn't aloud to see her anymore after many long conversations and she thanks me for it now...no friend would treat you that way ever..

Spend some time away from her until she can get a little more maturity.

maybe you should leave her alone for a while, shell learn her lesson then come back and ask you why you are ignoring her, then you can sit down with her calmly and tell her.
