Okay, there's the Andromeda Galaxy (our neighbor), the Magellanic clouds (satellite galaxies of the Milky Way), the Abbell Group, all the Messier cataloged galaxies, with the prefix "M" - like M32,etc. There's the Whirlpool Galaxy. The Sombrero Galaxy. Thousands of galaxies are named with the prefix "NGC" and then a number. The Cigar Galaxy. The "Mice" Galaxies. That's about all I can name off the top of my head. I see that "Judy_r8" did her homework, but anybody, including you, can Google the information. I thought this was supposed to be more like a quiz show . . . .P.S. -- galaxies are not to be confused with nebulae. The only nebulas we can see are in our own Milky Way Galaxy, such as he Orion Nebula, the Cat's Eye Nebula, and the Crab Nebula, to name a few.

A lot of other galaxies don't really have any "real" name, they have some name after a letter in either English, Greek, Roman, or Latin alphabet followed by some numbers which can be included in the name for several reasons.
