They seem to crop up everywhere in recent history that is an area of conflict today. All quotes from wikipedia.
Israel / Palestine - on Israel's creation from Palestine in 1947:
"On the date of British withdrawal the Jewish provisional government declared the formation of the State of Israel, and the provisional government said that it would grant full civil rights to all within its borders, whether Arab, Jew, Bedouin or Druze"
India / Pakistan - on the creation of these, also in 1947:
"The partition of India refers to the creation in August 1947 of two sovereign states of India and Pakistan when Britain granted independence to the former British Raj including treaty states "
Ghandi said of this:
"My whole soul rebels against the idea that Hinduism and Islam represent two antagonistic cultures and doctrines. To assent to such a doctrine is for me a denial of God."
GB also ran Iraq from 1919-1932, Iran on and off, Sudan (1924-1956) - the list is endless...

The GB colonialism was an attempt to develop markets. It was an attempt to bring these countries out of darkness, and assist them into full development as nations. Who would have thought that the experiment would fail, or have such consequences?
At some point in our near future, Queen Victoria will be hailed as the builder of a great empire. I do not blame her for our failures.

It's interesting, but I think it is the whole concept of forcing a new government/culture/economy upon an already established country. Take a look at most of the successful democracies around the world save Germany. Most all of them independently transformed into democracies.
Forcing a democracy on a country can have the same troubling results that an authoritarian revolution can have.
Iraq is the most obvious current example of this happening.

Britain and France are responsible for most problems:
Africa: Britain and France carved Africa up into artificial states at the end of the 19th century. Racist Britain and racist France completely ignored ethnic and tribal realities.
Middle East: same as above, artificial countries created such as Iraq, Kurds stabbed in the back etc...
India/Pakistan: Britain's fault
Vietnam war: caused by the French

While it would be a neat answer, it is wrong. The people who are fighting, warring, and slaving today were doing the same thing before the British ever appeared on the scene, and simply went back to their history when the British turned them loose again.

No.
You are only looking back 60 or 70 years.
These people have been at it for at least 1500 years and some might say 5000 years, this is way before GB was around.

Please. You refer to the world's problems as "Great Britain's". As a Scot, I would agree with you (to an extent) If you could possibly omit our country from your assertion. English actions have never been endorsed by the Scots generally, and will probably never be.
England once had a great empire. Sadly they still believe in their "world-beating" power. Even when it comes to football.
And we all know what happened there, this year.
Now I come to think of it, isn't that America's remit these days?

My Senior thesis in college was about how the British Empire messed up the entire world. I completely agree with you.
Look at history, What part of the world have they not dominated with imperialism?

America was certainly our fault, sorry Indians. Speaking of which, sorry India for bringing you into the modern world, building your railways etc etc and giving you Independence w/out a fight. Same for loads of other countries, sorry, we should have let the Germans have you. Sorry Germans they would rather have been run by you, or Russia.

Ur missing the big picture. Why are you blaming GB for things Muslims are doing? Just admit Islam is a world cancer.

Think God's gonna ask us who is to blame?
\NO,
he's gonna say, in my opinion, clean it UP
I don't care who did it when where or why, clean it up
fix it
but as the story goes over and over,
we cannot, we are all insane and
we are all to blame small or big.
INSANITY IS doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result. know your own truth and leave other alone may fix the problem and if your too stupid to preserve your resources, dont steal anothers and learn to deal with it.
