Spiderman got the black costume from Battleworld during the Secret Wars mini series. It was an Alien Symbiote found during his stay, the Symbiote gives Spiderman a new apperance a blackish bluish costume with a spider in the chest, it also gives him a bit more strenght and unlimited webshooters which are more stronger and durable and he can think of becoming Spiderman rather than changing. After battleworld he brings it with him to Earth, but eventually finds out that symbiote plans to phsyically attach itself to Peter Parker and merge with it as one. With the help of Reed Richards Spiderman was able to remove the the Symbiote, however, they Symbiote was able to escape and having all of Spidermans abilities, memories and now a hatred for him because of the Symbiote was at neard death and needed a host, it luckily crossed paths with Eddie Brock, who was too about to commit suicide and they formed Venom, both having a hatred for Spiderman. This is in the comics though.

Spiderman first got the Black Suit on the Beyonder Planet during the secret wars. The third movie will follow the further relationship developments between Peter and MJ as they struggle to balance their lives and their relationship.



Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire will both reprise their roles. In the movie Mary Jane fulfills her ambition of becoming an actress.



The Movie will have 4 villains...Sandman, Venom, Green-Goblin and one more soon to be announced!!

Sandman has the biggest role in the movie the others are fairly minor.



Bryce Dallas Howard will play Gwen Stacy in the movie. Her character is Peter's love interest in the movie and she is part on the love triangle involving Peter and Mary Jane. James Cromwell has also signed up to play the role of her father.



Theresa Russell will play Mrs. Marko, the wife of Flint Marko, aka the Sandman. The couple also have a daughter in the movie.



Thomas Haden Church has been cast as the main villain in the movie, He will play Sandman. The character was a prison escapee hiding out at an atomic testing facility when a explosion goes off. His molecules fuse with sand, giving him shape shifting ability along with various other skills.



Adrian Lester has signed on to play a research scientist who tries to cure one of the films villains.



Topher Grace has been confirmed as starring in Spiderman 3, he will play the second villain in the movie - Venom.



Harry Osbourne will become the Hob-Goblin in Spiderman 3. (Not the second Green-Goblin as in the comics.) This doesn't happen till near the end of the movie though.



Danny Elfman won't be doing the score for Spiderman 3 citing creative differences with Sam Raimi during Spiderman 2 as the reason.

It begins with a close up on the surface of the red material of the spidey suit and then has aome text about how long can one hold out from the power of the dark side as the red material turns dark.

Then there's a montage of scenes and troubled reaction shots from Peter, Harry and Mary-Jane. We see Peter laying on a bed in his suit (but with his mask off) as black muck begins to slide up his hand.

Then it goes to Spidey and the camera starts turning to reveal him hanging upside down by some web looking at his Venom reflection in the side of a skyscraper



SYNOPSIS (Contains Major Spoilers!)



With his secret now revealed to both Mary Jane and Harry, Peter must face the consequences of his actions and his new life together with Mary Jane as they finally form a relationship. Yet their newfound open display of love has yielded some unfortunate results, not the least of which is Peter's upset boss determined to make his life hell for causing his son emotional distress. Not helping is a young investigative reporter named Eddie Brock who Jameson has hired to find out why Mary Jane dumped his son for Peter - what's Parker's secrets? At the same time an escaped prisoner hiding out on a remote beach is caught in a dreadful accident and finds himself turned into a shape-shifting sand creature. Peter's investigations into the past of this 'Sandman' brings him in contact with two very different things that will inevitably alter his life. The first a young woman named Gwen Stacy, daughter of the city's new police chief who is developing a soft spot for Peter. The other, a black substance from an accident scene which 'merges' with Peter's costume and gives him new found abilities. Things come to a head however when Harry Osborn, determined to take revenge against Peter for his father's death and now equipped with what he needs to pull it off, teams with The Sandman in a new variation of his father's Green Goblin guise and causes mayhem. In the ensuing chaos lives are lost, including people very close to Peter, whilst the black substance covering his suit separates from him and merges with a distraught Brock to form something else entirely - a creature unlike anything he's ever faced. A 'Venom' that he may not be able to stop.
