You can't move a nation. Israel is there because you can't do anything about it's location. You should re-ask this question and rephrase it to be something like "Why is Israel so prone to violence?" The answer to that would obviously be the clash of religions but that's a whole different thing.

Because, back way before the Romans, the Jews controlled this territory. All throughout history until around AD 70 when the Romans finally crushed the Jewish nation they have controlled this same piece of earth. The people who are trying to take over Israel were never true owners of this land. After WWII, the UN decided that to prevent another Holocaust, they would give Israel there own land back. The Muslim states were furious and had the rules changed so that any settler that lived in Israel for 5 years would be considered a national instead of the normal 10 years. All of the surrounding states moved massive amounts of people into Israel prior to it becoming a Nation than they had to leave when it did. The states that had moved these people in would not allow them to return home. Thus all of the fighting. This is just a short history lesson for you.

They (the British, the Americans, and everyone who encourage their Jews to move to Israel) decided to plot out that chunk of land because they were incredibly... I want to say racist, but it isn't quite the right word... I guess the word for it is 'dumb'.

Even after the second World War, a lot of people still hated Jews. They blamed anything and everything they could on the Jews, including market crashes and wars. Some people said that Jews even ate babies (Not kidding. I think it was Nazi propaganda).

The shame about governments back then is that they full-heartedly believed what everyone was saying about these Jews. Therefore, when WWII ended and a place was needed for all of the Jewish, the countries picked somewhere that was as far away from them as could be.

Isn't it amusing how that has come home to roost?

The Jews call it their homeland, so it seemed logical they should be given land there. Problem was the palestinians didn't vote yes, and they were at home[at the time] So much for possesion being 9/10ths of the law.
