I have a 98 dodge stratus and today it just completly stop. when i tried to start it, it sounded like it wanted to turn over but got nothing. any clue?

nope not out of gas, and my uncle said it may be my fuel pump by the way i describe it to him. And i also tried to get a jump but that didnt help either.

Sorry Miss_Jay, but not much info to go on. However, assuming that the engine TRIES to start, aka. turns over but will not fire. The two most common problems I've encountered with that vehicle is a crank/cam sensor, or a bad fuel pump. However, both would require more info for me to give you anything better than an educated guess.

It could be the CPU. Once those die out, ya gotta get another one. You can just be driving along and it could shut down. Another issue could be your timing belt. When was the last time ya had that changed?

check the battery. clean the battery connections . are you out of gas? burnt fuse? starter maybe.

IT COULD BE MANT THINGS BUT I WOULD START WITH THE BATTERY & IT COULD ALSO BE THE ALTERNATOR.
