Ever hear of the Drake Equation. It calculated the possibility of ET's 100,000 to 1,000,000ET civilizations in the Milky Way alone. If the earth is the center of the universe (the universe expands in all directions from earth) what is the purpose of the rest of the hugh universe? Water is the one thing all life seems to need for survival. Its been found on other planets, even a cloud of water, less than a light year across was discovered in the constellation Orion. Plus the coverup by our governmant and all the sightings by other people and governments. What's your opinion?

Even though Earth moves around the sun, the universe around earth remains stationary while the ends of the universe that's connected to the parts near earth, are continuing to expand in all directions. Many of you don't understand this.

Do aliens really exist? I could say confidently, yes!

The real question should be: Do Aliens exist close enough to our Earth to make it feasible to communicate with? Because, if they do not, it is moot. The universe is expanding fast. The speed of light (radio waves, light waves) moves really slow when using it as the medium to explore the universe. What I am trying to say is, It takes light 15 billion years to reach us from the other side of the universe and our solar system will be around only for another 5 billion years before our Sun goes nighty nite. So, if anyone is out there and they are not near by then by the time they received our message in the bottle we would have long since perished.

Since, our own galaxy (the milky way) is 100,000 thousand light years across and could potentially contain some 100 to 200 billion stars (solar systems) that it is likely that we will find other worlds close by.

Remember, yes we have searched for signals with in our galaxy but it could be that those signals have not reached us yet. And may not reach us for the next 100,000 thousand or more years.

The Drake equation will give whatever result you want by fudging the variables in it. The problem is we don't know the actual, or even reasonable, values for those variables. It's all speculation and guesswork.

That said, I think aliens really exist, but not in our galaxy. Our solar system is pristine. We haven't detected any direct evidence of alien civilizations within our galaxy.

>> (the universe expands in all directions from earth)
Actually, it doesn't. It just looks that way due to funky relativistic effects. The universe is expanding outward from the center of the universe, which isn't earth, and isn't even our galaxy.

>> Water is the one thing all life seems to need for survival
No it isn't. Just our kind of life. Information-based life needs active computers for survival.

>> all the sightings by other people
I'm going to discount those.

Umm, I can neither cofirm nor deny the existence of extraterrestrials.

And FYI, the universe doesn't "expand from the earth" or "rotate around the earth" If anything the earth rotates in the galaxy we're in and within the universe itself at a slower rate... Most likely.

Christian arrogance about us being the center of the universe is outdated outmoded and has long since been repudiated, not least by the fact that we revolve around the sun, as do all the planets in the solar system. Though our solar system is most likely revolving in the larger milky way galaxy, and that may be revolving in some larger body. And on and on it goes.

But I'd expect there is probably another solar system out there somewhere with a similar beginning to our which may well support life, since life evolves from self-arranging structure.

I think we are not alone. If you look in the sky and see all those stares, what do you think the earth will look like if you were standing on one of those stares and looking at the earth. I bet just like all the others.

yes and one of them actually asked a question up here. They are connected to our internet.

ok, to be serious...I dont think they exist. Or even if they do, they are far away and they dont know anything about earth yet.

I do believe they do just on principal. It's problematic asking if they've ever visited here, though. If they have, they've been very discreet about it. I have neighbors I don't want to talk to either.
