Are you looking for a way to appear clever than the people who writes the Holly Bible? I'm not a religious person, but i want to state 2 things. 1 : a single mind cannot archive the knowledge achieved by thousands of peoples in hundreds of years. 2: you don't really care about the faith of all the people before Christ, so why are you asking that? As you are searching for an answer, and perhaps none of the answers satisfy you, i couldn't find a good reason why you are asking the world that.

I once asked a lady who was advising me to read the Bible a similar question. She agreed that 'Christ' is the' indwelling spirit' in us all ,even if we are from a place or time that hasn't heard the name.
I suggested that the name and story isn't the critical thing then. At which point she reverted to asserting that I should read the bible ,and only through Christ, etc, etc..
I don't think we need to worry to much somehow .

Of course there are always people around trying to help and save others. I'm up for a bit of that myself.

He saved them in the same way he saves us. Before he came, the people looked to the future event. We look to the past event. This is what makes the death of Christ on the cross the central event of history.

No, no, and no to all other answers. I am not the best person to answer this, but I know (it's found clearly in the Old Testement!) that their salvation was achieved by following laws of God. If they sinned (which always happened) thay made sacrifices of animals. (sort of like how Jesus sacrified himself) They could not achieve perfect salvation as we can, but I believe they were saved when Jesus came and will be in heaven when I go. I look forward to meeting them!

I think Jesus Christ came to the world not mainly to save people from their sins but to introduce himself to the world in a completely different way from those HE was introduced in before. He came so that people know him well, know themselves, love HIM, love themselves and each other. HE came to set a new relationship between HIM and them according to their own WORD and according to HIS OWN WORD. HE came to FREE their MIND, the thing that could result in freeing themselves from sin.

The ones who served God before the coming of Jesus went to a place called Abraham's Bosom or Paradise. This place was seperated from hell by a large divide.

Of course they will have the chance to accept Christ as their savior and be saved. It would not make sense any other way.

well that is ridiculous religion in itself is tall tales and are not meant to be taken seriously if Jesus came now he would **** himself seeing all the horrible things done in his name and seeing how everything he taught constricted our lives so much that his morels are being passed over and instead people are just blindly following the stories that hold the morals instead of following the morals that hold the stories
