If the bleeding is not enough to get into a pad or tampon, or not enough to soak it, then don't consider it as a period yet. Some women, when pregnant, experience light bleeding or spotting during the early weeks of pregnancy. A possible explanation for the spotting is that your hormones are trying to accommodate the pregnancy, and in the process of doing so, some spotting may occur. Take note that I say it's spotting - which is kinda what you just described, it's there when you wipe but it's not enough to get on your underwear (or pad if you're wearing one). The best thing to know if you're pregnant is to take a home pregnancy test now. If it turns out to be negative, wait a couple more days to see if the bleeding progresses into a real period. If it doesn't come at all, but you only get some spotting, see your doctor and order a blood test - which is more accurate anyway and will be able to tell you for sure whether you are pregnant or not. Some home pregnancy tests are not sensitive enough to detect low levels of the pregnancy hormone, but a blood test will be able to detect the pregnancy hormone in your blood no matter how low the amount is.
Goodluck to you!!

Have you taken a pregnancy test? Many women experience spotting, at times very different from normal, at the beginning of pregnancy. I was 6 weeks pregnant & started feeling crampy & also spotting a brownish discharge, then it became more like a heavy period, but only when I wiped, not any other time. I was having a miscarriage. I went to the Dr. that day & they did an ultrasound & some blood work & the next day, I found out that I was indeed miscarrying. I think maybe you should contact your OBGYN if you are really concerned. Then again, it may just be how your body is responding to being pregnant. But you can never be too safe when it comes to having a baby. : )

I had faster or later of bleeding clone of my era. i presumed it became starting up, in spite of the indisputable fact that it stopped after faster or later. I had under no circumstances finished that previously with my era. It under no circumstances got here decrease back and that i took a try a week or so later and that i became pregnant. no matter if it truly is out of the conventional so that you could perceive, start up & provide up like that, i'd say you need to be pregnant. only time and a try will tell. EDIT: I also had better bleeding about 4 weeks into my being pregnant. I called the health care specialist scared. when I went he stated it became implantation bleeding yet all over again (he stated my toddler became having a not basic time searching an effective position to make living house). I had an ultrasound and each and everything. with the point to the answerer above that stated it is too late for implantation bleeding...it truly isn't any longer inevitably authentic.

Hi,
I'd advise a trip to the doctors. It could be a period, it could be pregnancy. Usually when you bleed during pregnancy ( this is known as spotting ) its very light red mark, more like blood than period ( which is usually a little darker ).
The doctor will always be happy to see you if you are concerned about being pregnant or what goes on during the course of your pregnancy so please don't be afriad to go. If it is your period he'll be glad you came when it was nothing to worry about then not go when it was.
Either way, if you are congratulations, and if not I hope you are very soon and good luck in the future.

I think you are having a period. If you are stressed over pregnancy attempts, your period can change or be skipped entirely just over stress. My periods sound exactly like you describe and I am on the pill and doc says they are normal.
And as you age, your period changes over time, so what was once regular can change as we grow. I'm sorry, but I don't think you are pregnant. Good luck and remember to have fun trying!!

You could be pregnant. Go get a test. Some spotting is normal in the first trimester. Which could be the brownish blood.

The brown sounds like old blood. It's hard to tell anyone anything over the PC. I would go to the doctor and see what is going on. Just because you are bleeding lightly doesn't mean you still can't be PG. I bleed with one of mine while I was.... Only thing I can tell you is the brown sounds like old blood.

Sometimes women have a bit of spottage that resembles their period but is really because of their pregnancy. A pregnancy test performed by your doc can tell you the truth though.
