What?

If both parties consent to have sex, it's voluntary and they are both responsible (STDs, diapers, daycare, cost of birth control, etc).

If one party does not consent to have sex, it is rape and the offending party should go to jail for violating the rights of another.

Sex can be voluntary without fully understanding the consequences of ones actions. For many, hormones take over and there is no one available to talk to about what is happening emotionally and physiologically. So then where does the responsibility lie. Maybe at the feet of society, education, family upbringing.
If sex is involuntary, then it is considered a violation upon ones body and yes the offenders must pay for a crime against another. There may be reasons why a person becomes a sex offender, but rehabilitation is not always effective because there are reminders in every day life that trigger the perputrator to offend again. Or maybe there are deep seated issues that one can never uncover.

No one could tell you the sentence. Each state is different, and only a judge can determine based on surrounding facts on the case. It varies. 1) Involuntary Manslaughter. Insanity is a defense, and it was involuntary/accidental. 2) Voluntary Manslaughter. No one can determine if another man is dangerous. He could have contacted the police. One man doesn't have any right to kill another unless it's in self defense for his or another's life.

sex is voluntary.....rape is involuntary. any results of having sex voluntary, such as pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases should be the responsibility of the person/persons who didn't take per cautions to prevent any unwanted outcome. sex-offenders who rape and molest should be held accountable and punished for their actions.

voluntary, yes. the participants should be held responsible for the results.

as for involuntary, sex-offenders should be punished. i don't know if they should be pitied, but I'm not likely to pity them.

Sex is voluntary and those involved need to take responsibility for the outcomes of it. It should be enjoyed by both parties.

Involuntary sex is rape or molestation. Those who do this should be castrated and made to pay for what they have done for the rest of their lives--in my opinion. Rape and molestation are about power and control, not about having sex and enjoying it.

sex in most cases is voluntary, and responsibility for actions is a thing of the past in the world today. though i do agree that we should take responsibility for our actions regardless of the outcome.

Responsibility for one's actions does presuppose that one is capable of (a) knowing the difference between right and wrong, and (b) being able to act rightly.

Sex is kind of like getting drunk. You have more of a choice at the beginning than at the end. Intoxication affects one's mind and actions.

Each act of sex is different, you can't lump them in an all or nothing basket.
