Any pregnant woman in the state of Texas can qualify for medicaid no matter how much you make. I am pregnant and wouldnt normally qualify but I do since Texas is a state that provides it for all pregnant women and I have it as a secondary to my work insurance and it covers everything. Wherever you would go for food stamps they do medicaid also. And they find you a local doctor and work your plan around what hospital you wish to deliver at. You also want to go ahead and get WIC also it helps also.

Call the hospital you are closest to or are most familiar with and ask to talk to someone in the social services department. If this particular hospital doesn't have this department just explain that you are pregnant and that you do not have insurance. Whoever you talk to will know where to direct you. They will most likely have you fill out a Title 19 form and have you into a doctor within a few days.

Have you considered adoption? You're young and broke, and bringing a baby up is VERY hard. Many adoption agencies will pay for all your hospital and prenatal care. Giving a child up for adoption to a loving family who is unable to have a child is not only the most precious gift to your child, but the most unselfish as well. Please consider it. Please don't get caught up in the welfare system. It's a prison sentence. Once your there it is very hard to dig your way out.
