I never though so but yes. I knew without a test. Was the weirdest thing. My mam always says you never need a test, if you are you know.
My symptons were very subtle. I was calmer, slight nausea, plus from being about 2 weeks gone I would not lie on my stomach, felt so wrong. I know this is quite unusual.
I suppose if you're trying for a baby you might not feel these as much, or you might think you are when you're not because you want to be so badly.
However my little boy was a suprise for me ( and what a great surprise ) so I knew instantly.

A couple of days from when?
I had signs very early on in my cycle - pinkish discharge and sore breasts/period cramps about two weeks before my period was due., So I did suspect. But I did not get a positive test result until the day after my period was due. It started but was only a small amount of brown blood and my boobs stayed sore.
Generally, home urine tests will not pick up a pregnancy until the time your period is due because you need the levels of HcG hormone to build up in your urine. Doctors' blood tests can be more accurate but I think they need to be performed around the time your period is due. You don't need to wait until you've entirely missed one.

there is no real way of being accurate about whether you are pregnant or not, but your body may give you signs or feelings that you are pregnant...
i knew that i was pregnant about 3 days into it...and it wasnt a guess, i just knew...i took pregnancy tests every week for the next five weeks, but it wasnt until about the 6th week that i returned a positive result...but it was long before the result that I knew I was pregnant...

Do your breasts seem to be getting larger or more tender even though you are not near your period time? That's how I knew I was preggers both times! Another sign is feeling like you have flu or feeling really really run down and tired for no reason.

yes because you know your period didn't come yet and if you take a test just after 2 or 3 days after your missed period

Yes there are R.I.A. (radio immuno assay), and E.I.a. (enzymw immuno assay), tests that can tell within hours or a day if you are pregnant.
