I've now tried both services and Netflix seems to take longer, despite their better selection. What have your experiences been with both?

That has not been my experience. Netflix has been faster for me; I usually get my next dvd(s) in 1-2 days. Around Postal holidays though it takes a bit longer.

Yes you are correct. Netflix has certain places they ship from. They send the movies to those specific places first, then they are mailed once again to your final address. They might have 2 shipping places in each area. Blockbuster ships directly to your address.

if ur a frequent renter then netflix is slower
