I would like my room to look nice without spending tons of money. The only thing I'm allowed to use on the walls is white putty. I also love pictures of friends. This is pretty tough, so any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Hey there! Try going to flea markets and seeing what you can find in the area. If you don't want heavy frames on the walls, I suggest cropping your pictures, using colored or clear CD cases and hanging them up that way on the wall with the puddy...you could make different arrangements using the cases. Debbie Travis did that on one of her shows and it was awesome looking, and she only spent about $30 for everything. You can get cheap fabric usually at Jo-Anns, I would hang those on the wall, either straight down, or in cool patterns. Good luck and have fun! =)

The dorms I lived in had walls made of concrete masonry units (CMU) so you couldn't hang anything by nail either. However most kids used tape and no one cared. Using tape or putty you can hang as many standard photographs around the room at you want, they look nice outlineing things like the mirrow.

Another Option is to see if there is a track built into the wall with hooks (all my dorms had one of these). In that case you can buy a large picture frame and make a collage to hang from the track.

Finally there will most likey be a bulliton board that you can hang items with push pins. This works well for things like stickers or patches that are too heavy for putty on the walls.

Use posters on walls.
Hang your photos from ceiling with fishing line & paper clips.
Use rope string lights hung from two points & then hang small stuff from the rope lights.

you should look at contact paper. it truly is bought in rolls and used specially to line kitchen cabinets and drawers. it truly is contained in the kitchen area at Walmart. in case your room is amazingly darkish attempt accessorizing with mild toned complimenting hues. Cornflower blue and cream bypass actual properly with darkish brown.
