Yes and No. Currently Hezbollah positions itself as a political group than a "terrorist organization" although it has a terrorist wing in its organizational structure. Like some political groups, it does have radical factions that conduct terrorist acts. Two years ago, the UN placed pressure on Lebanon to disband Hezbollah which of course Lebanon has not complied with. This is due to the government not having total control over Hezbollah's actions.
As you may have read in the news Lebanon has asked for a cease fire. There may be open war but maybe there is a possibility that Hezbollah's supporters (Syria and Iran) may jump in. Hopefully there international pressure is strong enough where both Israel and Hezbollah (not much Lebanon) shows restraint.

The Hezbollah control the southern territory of Lebanon and have parliamentary seats in the government. If the Lebanese could not stop their own people from being stupid, than they deserve what they get. I prefer if there was no wars, but freedom costs a lot. Israel has already said that by having the Hezbollah, a recognized part of Lebanon's government, invade Israel and take two soldiers on duty it constitutes open declaration of war by Lebanon on Israel. Just like what the Palestinians have done with Israel many times over.

In general, the Lebanese government and people do not support Hezbollah because they are backed by Syria. Syria is disliked by Lebanon because it occupied Lebanon for years, corrupted the country, and killed many heroes such as the great Rafik Hariri. I believe that open war will not occurr because the Lebanese people have realized that Hezbollah is trying to instigate another war in order to show that they need their arms to fight Israel. Since the Lebanese government has repeatedly told them to put down their arms, Hezbollah wants to prove somehow that they need their weapons.

Certain factions of the Lebanese government back Hamas, Hezbollah and other groups associated with terrorism. Israel is attacking that part of Lebanon which is controlled by those groups who are sympathetic to the terrorists.

Israel became created by taking land decrease back from the Arabs, land that belonged to the Jews over 2000 years in the past. This has heavily disenchanted the Arabs (quite the Palestinians whose land it became) and signifies that Israel is surrounded on all aspects by enemies, enemies that ought to prefer to thoroughly remove Israel. notwithstanding, Israel has the limitless help of u . s . a . of america and Britain (those were the international places that created cutting-part Israel and so are in some section responsibility sure) so the Arabs won't be able to easily invade Israel with common forces and are compelled to apply insurrection/ terrorist communities. one in all those communities, Hizbullah, has been firing some missiles at Israel each and every now and then and then abducted 2 Israeli infantrymen. Israel is acquainted with that if it would not react then issues ought to get a lot a lot worse, any signal of weak point and they are doomed. besides to, with the individuals operating around the middle-east killing all people they experience like Israel is acquainted with that it may flow further than it ought to oftentimes and there is no longer something their bubble gum chewing friends can say about it- the individuals favor them now more desirable than ever. who's good the following? Turning decrease back the clock and re-arising Israel became actually no longer solid for most folk, yet now this is there there is not any going decrease back. Israel has actually lengthy gone thanks to a ways and the Lebanese who were already suffering to advance their u . s . a . (please do not say they deserve it you ignorant westerners with smooth lives you quite haven't any idea of the international outdoors of your own the front door) are observing all of it cave in even as they and their households are bombed to hell...

I don't think they support hezbollah but they don't stop them from openly operating in their country and they let some of them into their parliment.
Israel says hey if you's won't stop them from attacking us from your soil then we will.
I don't think Lebanon will fight back. hezbollah will but not Lebanon.
