I would stick with the pencil instead of the liquid because even though there cool, liquid liner can be real messy and sometimes it takes longer to apply then a pencil liner.

NO,NO,NO!!! No liquid liner under the eyes! It looks hard and amateur! Powder liner is a good choice. You can also use darker shadow colors. Your pencil liner with a matching shadow over it to "seal" the pencil is all you really need. Don't over-do under the eyes- you'll just look tired. Try using the liner about1/3 of the way in from the outer corner under the eye (taper it off) and maybe the dark shadow all the way across. Liquid liner is good for the upper lid for a more dramatic evening look. I love a dramatic eye, but liquid is not what I would consider an "everyday" thing. If you are going to try it, remember- you don't have to put it on in one stroke. You can "sketch" it on. Practice beforehand. Don't try it a half hour before you go out. It takes practice. Good Luck!

Liquid eyeliner is out. Besides, it gives your eyes a hard, overpolished look that is just antinatural. If you're worried it's going to smear, use a long lasting eyeliner. I also have dark brown eyes. I use Cover Girl's Perfect blend eye liner pencil, in black brown, ($3 to $5) It has a small sponge on one end that helps you smudge the color as little or as much as you want. and once you're done it stays there, and touch ups are very easy. If you decide to stick with your liquid eyeliner, then try Long Lasting Eye Liner by Sephora. ($10)

Liquid liner can be harsh/artificial looking and difficult to apply if you are new to liners. Your question makes it sound like you haven't used liner before so I would suggest using a pencil liner instead. A dark brown would be the most natural color for you. When applying it think of only coloring the areas between the lashes for the most natural look. This way it simply looks like your lashes are thicker. (I stopped using liquid liners and only use a pencil now for this very reason.)

I recommend using a powder liner. It's cleaner- less bacteria. You can add a drop of water to make it liquid and mix the powder and water in the lid so that it is a little bit thinner than tooth paste. Use the thinnest brush possible, start on the inside and slide outward. Rest most of the brush on your lashes to avoid smudging. With brown eyes, purple or navy blue are fantastic colors. You can also use a chocolate brown for a natural look, and black for a night time look. Depending on your skin-tone, you make opt for a charcoal rather than straight black.

i love revlon it comes in a black tube and its pretty easy to find it has gold lettering on it and the best thing its definatly smudge proof and get this its sturdy ! its not flimsy and it makes putting the liquid on so dang easy.. I love liquid but i love how soft pencil is sometimes i apply the liquid twice allowing to dry in between then go back with either soft pencil or a q-tip to soften the line or for a good ol fashion smoky look i apply mascara right after the liquid so both or pretty still damp and i lightly rub my finger on the bottom lash and lid its a good look but takes practice . hope this answers your question.. goodluck

Honestly I would say stick to the pencil, lancome makes great eyeliner and it's easier to apply, unlike some liquids. Besides with a liquid if you don't do it just right it can look quite trashy.

i have brown eyes too and i use maybelline waterproof liquid eyeliner in black it is pretty much amazing then i use almay intense eye color eyeshadow it really makes my eyecolor POP also if you have a steady hand just follow your bottom lid with the eyeliner then some black stuff will collect on the inside of your eye (that sounds weird but you'll see it when you apply) just take a q-tip and take it out with that

Lancome makes a product called Artliner. Its much easier to use than the traditional liquid eyeliners with a brush. I have it in both black and brown, it's really a nice product. And always remeber, you can touch it up easily with a damp cotton swab.

God, liquid eyeliner is so hard!
But, Mary Kay has a good one, It's got a hair-thin applicator, so it doesn't blob all over. You probably want to wear black liner, with your dark eyes. Don't pull your eyelids down to apply it, like you might with stick- it just doesn't work;
