If you ask about fare, that depends on where you are going and if there are different kind of ticket to you to purchase, etc. Normally bus and train tickets are cheaper if you purchase them in advance, train in coach (seat class) is only a bit higher than Greyhound (there are some cheaper fares), but in long distance trips sometimes you need to change three or four times of bus, and only one or no change for trains. Sleeper in train is expensive but very comfortable. Also there are special "hot deals" in Amtrak and I think that in Greyhound too.

The bus is definitely the cheapest way to travel. I can go round trip from West Tennessee to South Texas for $138.00. You can't beat that. The train would cost over $300.00 and with the price of gas at $3.00 per gallon, it would be expensive to drive...)(

I'd say car. Trains must cost thousands and thousands and so too buses, so i'd say on average the car must be cheaper.

most buses cost as much as a Ferrari and a train would cost more than a whole fleet of buses. You figure it out.
