My hard drive crashed and I would like to put my songs from my ipod on another computer or the new one once my hard drive is restored.

There are ways to put songs back from your iPod to your computer, but they are all illegal. The original software on the iPod is set so that you cant just copy songs onto other computers, that is the only reason the iPod is legal

Connect ipod and turn on itunes. Click on your ipod symbol on the source list of your itunes. Highlight all your songs by shift + down arrow. Then right click and press copy. Open up my computer and then go to my documents. Create a music folder if you already dont have one and then paste.

Easy - find a friend with a Mac, download your songs and get him or her to burn it onto a disc (or discs) for you.

get Senuti (itunes backwards) if you have a mac and then just plug your ipod into your computer. to get senuti search it on google.co.uk
