Zidane'll be remembered as a football wizard. His place along with Maradona, Cruyeff and Pele is assured. One extra thing he did which the three others couldn't do. He punished an ugly racist !!!

It is going to be a hard thing to forget. I love the way Zizou played. He was one if not the greatest player that has played in my lifetime. I still can't understand how could he do such a terrible thing?! Players always are trying to get you to lose your temper. Always. It is unfortunately, a part of the game and Zidane knew that. No matter what Matterazzi said to him, what Zidane did was an embarassment to himself, his teammates and his country. He should be stripped from the MVP award the press gave him. He absolutely doesn't deserve it.

I hope not!! He is a great player and I don't want people to remember ONLY the headbutt when a person speaks about Zidane.

nah, his legacy lives on and soon that incident becomes but a mere footnote in history. just now, with the images still fresh in our minds, people are already scrambling for excuses to justify his spectacular meltdown. for most of his detractors, zidane is just proving too hard to beat. in fact, i won't be too surprised if he comes out of this smelling like a rose and more revered than ever. wouldn't that be the biggest irony of all, lol.

that incident had happened and nothing can be done to change that. zizou will be remembered as a legend, not a head butting captain. the motto in germany was fair play and say no to racism. what did zizou get? a racist remark from an italian. and i thought italians are opened minded loving people. guess i was wrong.

of course. why wouldn't he. Many remembered him from World Cup 1998, that was 12 years ago...and he lifted the whole French nation up and infatuated everyone with Zidaneists.
