as a general rule, i used to get the repo papers and go get the cars after the person was 3 months late. What i did to the cars was not pretty either. A repo man is very simply a hired car thief with legal papers saying he can steal that car. But the money is real good for the job

Depends on the company and your communication with the company. I have heard of cars being repo'd after 2 months and some as long as 4. The company I used to work for would repo after two payments missed.
