There is discrimiation towards Blacks in ALL countries except, perhaps African nations, and even there, discrimination exists big time. This is a very sad statement for mankind...we all bleed the same color of blood, we all feel the same pain when we are discriminated against. Perhaps one day, equal will mean just that...equal for all. Blacks, Gays, Greens, Purples, ....you get my message. Good luck

There are the ignorant red-necks that hate blacks, but there is more organized and higher level racism coming from educated blacks and white people that have been made ashamed that they are white. The NAACP, the ACLU, and the the politically correct have squashed any chance for dialogue and made it a one sided arguement. Anyone with the stones to imply that a black person could be a racist would in turn be labled a racist. Anyone using a racial stereotype is labeled a racist (if they are white). We have been censored into submission. But, it is perfectly acceptable for a black or hispanic to make racial comments, jokes, or stereotypes about whites.

If equality is what is desired, then do away with racist ideology, right? Why are there Latin Grammys, Vibe awards, All black television shows, all black colleges, the ***** college fund, etc.... If white people tried that they would be crucifed by the New York Times, the NAACP, the ACLU ,CNN, Hillary Clinton, Michael Moore, etc.....

Whats o.k to say today? Blacks, ******, African Americans? I'm sure the list will change tomorrow if only to keep racism alive for Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Think of it. If racism ended today allot of people would be out of jobs. Non-profits pay very well, just think about it.

Racism will never end unless we are "ALL" willing to move on from the past and lose the greed. Isn't it funny how money, and greed is at the root of many of the worlds problems .

Just a thought, or two, or three.

I am white and moved here from Europe in my early teens as a military brat. I actually got in a fight with a guy when I was 13 because he used the n word. When I was 16 my best friend was black. Today I am 39. It is not the color I can't stand but their culture. It is a learned behavior. They demand respect but don't try to earn it. They dress ridiculously. They make no effort to learn to speak the English language properly. The refuse to be educated because it is the white man's education. They want jobs via affirmative action and not based on equal oppurtunity. I do not know the exact statistic but a large portion of the male population will get in trouble with the law one one way or another. The neighborhoods they live in rapidly become delapidated and are places to avoid at all costs. I could go on forever. They reap what they sow.

Yes there is indeed. However it ALSO runs equally in the opposite direction: blacks discriminate against whites. If you are black and live in the USA you are pretty much guaranteed to be able to get welfare, regardless of income. However, if you are white, you have a definite income limit. (Alabama actually has separate limits for blacks and whites still!) If you are black and apply for the same job as a white person, having exactly the same experience, education, and references, you will get the job JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE BLACK. Now, with that said, in most of the USA if you are black then you are more likely to be convicted of the SAME CRIME that a white person commits, under exactly the same circumstances with the same legal representation.

Discrimination is not defined by the color of a persons skin in the US but by what economic class you are in. Older people, women, gays, Hispanics, handicapped and poor people are discriminated against as much or more than black people.

Yes.

One in three young black men has been in trouble with the law. One in three. It's shameful.

Not all tigers are maneaters.
Even a maneater isn't always hungry.
But still, if you see tiger coming toward you on the sidewalk, you cross to the other side.

Discrimination will end some time after young black men stop distinguishing themselves by being criminals.

Yes of course. But here in florida it actually isn't that bad to contradict what the first answerer said. We have one of the biggest melting pots of all the states in the US and many interracial couples. I have never heard a bad remark about my relationship and I have been dating black men since I was 15!

yes of course there still discrimination to black people,go watch the movie crash, you would see a bit of reality, the whites are afraid of blacks and blacks are afraid of whites, looks around you few states have mostly blacks, this segreation of people according to colour is very distinct, god only knows when this will stop and people learn to accept people not for the skin colour or for race or religion, but as one human to another
