why is silent hill so scary?

The fact that the game follows the same genre like those from Alone in The Dark and the earlier Resident Evil games in which you are almost totally alone in the area. It makes it more creepy on the concept that your use of weaponry is very limited and often you need to use your wits to get out instead of firing away. The game is also well known for its string of creepy characters and ambience.

silent hill is scary because everything is dark,outside there is massive amounts of fog, so the gamer does not know what is around the corner or even in fornt of them. If u r afraid of Silent Hill , stay away from Doom3 is a mad scary game

lmao i tried playin it and i couldnt even get through the first door you come to cause of the strange sound the zombie thing was making, this is really weird cause i am immune to horror and scary games and movies lmao just strange.. only things that scary me are silent hill and resident evil the games yet the films were pretty crap.. i guess the games scarier cause it puts you in the position of having to deal with a canabilistic mutant/zombie come to eat you alive i guess...

That's why its beutiful cuz it's scary & i like playing it alone in the dark around midinight & if think thats scary try Doom 3 on Pc or X-Box or F.E.A.R & you'll know a whole new meaning to the word scary!!!

its scary depending on who you ask. f.e.a.r. is freaky. so if you can't take silent hill then you better stay even farther away from f.e.a.r.
