Why do some people think that because gay people want to get married, that automatically means the whole world is going to 'turn' gay? And in the event the world does 'turn' gay (as crazy as that sounds) how will the human race will die out? For starters, nobody 'turns' gay. And second, just because a person is gay doesn't mean that can't produce children, there are still other options. That point is null and void anyway, I mean, seriously, do some people really believe that the day gay marriage is allowed everyone is just suddenly going to "turn" homosexual? Like in the blink of an eye?

Every bigot needs rerasons to justify their bigotry. The observations you've made about the anti-Gay's pundit circulated propaganda are correct. The anti-Gay organizational leadership being the worst bigots of them all notwithstanding. Homophobia and Transphobia are todays transgressions against our LGBT community and just as rotten to the core as Racial Prejudice is.

But I will say that there are a number of things that would affect the existance of the human race.
1. Country's that engage in forced sterilization or limitation to how many children a couple may have a slight affect on population replacement.
2. Although I AM a Pro Choice advocate and NOT a Bible Thumper, I realize that if everry woman on the earth decided to get an abortion it would have a drastic affect on the human race.
3. Famine and contagious disease epidemics can and have played a role in killing off the human race.
4. Nuclear, biological or biochemical warfare can have a far greater affect on the entire world population.
5. The two World Wars or the various Civil Wars that happened in the last century definately had an effect on eradicating both males and people in general from being able to have kids in the future.
I would suggest that if a heterosexual woman has a lover or husband who is going off to war, she has him provide his ejaculation to a sperm bank for cryogenic storage just in case he gets killed or has his nuts shot off in combat. That way she can still have his kids, or let another female have that blessing if she chooses.

I am sorry to say "yes" to your question. I do think it ironic that by feeling as many straights do, they are saying, by inference, that being Gay is far better than being Straight! They are saying that if all social bans are lifted, then all will opt to be Gay...isn't this interesting? I really don't remember the day I decided to be Gay...I do remember the day I was turned on by a shirtless male body (I was only 5 at the time), so I wonder when I made the decision to be turned on by male bodies???? Anyway, as far as I can tell, Straights have it correctly...if there were no bans on being Gay, the straightest of Straights would turn Gay in a heartbeat...I am just agreeing with them for civility's sake. Good luck, and a fun question to answer. Thanks.

I guess if people believe that being gay is a choice, and if gay people have all the fun, then everyone will turn gay. What a laugh that is.

They somehow view gay marriage as more enjoyable than straight marriage? Why would a straight person choose this? I know it's dumb.

I get your point but let me try to narrow it a bit. I think some say that because their actual arguments against it are failing. They are trying to make the 'it's not natural case' but doing so in a very poor way.

Also there is something they are not saying outloud that you have to read between the lines to get. This is controlled by their prejudices. It is their 'fear' that if society allows gay marriage to become legal that would mean that they have to 'accept' it; thereby, influencing their children. Specifically, they are afraid that their children might 'choose' to be gay if society says it is acceptable.

They don't want to come right out and say that but that is what it is all about. Parents are trying to teach their children what their idea of right and wrong is and feel threatened when they see something they consider wrong imposed on their children.

I get that.... my beef is that I too am trying to teach my children what I consider as right and wrong and I believe it is wrong to discriminate towards me based on my sexual orientation. I am trying to teach my children that all humans are equal, etc....

My answer to their argument is: 'sorry too bad, deal with it'. There are plenty of influences I find negative that I have to teach my children to avoid or restrict them from. That is my duty as a parent. Just because they will feel the need to have to do this doesn't give them to the right to violate my civil rights.

Ignorant people think that way. I am apalled that same-sex marriage is even an issue today. It shouldn't be. Gays are tax-paying Americans that deserve the same rights as everyone else.

The ones who are saying that everyone would turn gay if same-sex marriage were legal are either bigots, or closet cases themselves.

yes, being gay will cause the world to cease to exist. the rest of us think gays should stay in the closet because the rest of us are tired of hearing about it. oh and uh, if you're so f-ing smart and want to have the benefits married people have, do a little research, you can have it better.

i do no longer believe Freud's concept on innate bisexuality. in spite of the indisputable fact that, I also locate "The Kinsey Scale" to be extremely convincing. to assert that one and all human beings are born bisexual seems subjectively confident. each and every individual is born with organic tendencies, and in comprehend to sexual determination, some individuals will understand early on what gender we can like. To make an celebration, as an example our situation is an truly youthful boy who's about 3 years previous. The boy shows better interest in taking area in with females and female appropriate toys, than boys and male appropriate toys. i do not imagine that this "helps" Freud's concept necesarily because the youngster ought to easily be doing it out of interest. per chance he exhibits that the flashy hues of female appropriate toys are purely better beautiful. As a heterosexual guy, i'm entirely fascinated in females. yet I received't hesitate to enrich a fellow guy if he dresses properly. The APA states that bisexual human beings can "journey sexual, emotional, and affectional allure to both their personal sex and the alternative sex." A heterosexual individual could have a liking in route of someone of his or her personal gender, yet in my view, it truly is only an infatuation and does no longer enlarge previous that.

i agree completely with you. it's the stupid, uneducated, Bible-thumping bigots that say otherwise.
I have plenty of gay/lesbian friends that have children. and i will continue to fight for the right to marry my partner.
you "thumpers" have nothing better to do? do you feel superior coming to these forums and passing judgment on others?
judge not, lest ye be judged....idiots!
