Pretty much as th title says really.. What do you all think and why? I think it is the best car Fiat have ever made and that it will be, especially the 20 Valve LE and Plus versions.

Thanks for all the rust comments but Fiats have been Galvanised since 1989, they just do not rust like they used to. Certainly not as much as most makes of car. :-P

I just sold my Fiat Coupe 20vT after 2 years of using it and it only depreciated by £100 to £4100.

The 20vT regularly features in classic car magazine and I kept many articles on it. Even featured in a similar column in Top Gear. Definately think it will retain classic car status due to the supreme performance and the fact that they didn't make that many and a lot have been written off.

Only thing is that I don't know if the 16vT will gain the same status as it is less desirable. They took a serious hit in depreciation when first released due to running costs and group 20 insurance but seemed to have stoped now.

Have a look at: http://www.fccuk.org/forum/ubbthreads.php

Was a member of the coupe collectors club and went to many meetings and a couple of track days. Maybe get in touch with them. The forum looks a little sparce for threads etc but thats because the servers lost all the data and the host didn't keep a backup.

Anyway hope this helps!!! Also don't listen to most of the other posts... they are pretty ill informed as you can tell by statements like its just a fiat.... yes like the GT40 is just a ford.

I believe ,being a fiat coupe n/a owner myself that this car has very unique characteristics and it's definitely going to be a classic as soon as those ricers who buy them 3rd hand stop making them look like fast and furious Hondas.

It'll be rusting in a scrapyard long before it ever gets the chance. It's a Fiat.

I believe that cars become CLASSICS because of their age not their make and model. I think it has to be over 25 years of age. Mind you, if a Fiat makes it over that time, it will be a miracle not a classic.

Sorry but fiats don't normally last long enough to become classic.

technically, any vehicle over the age of seven years can be called a classic. Though you probably wouldn't want most of them in a clasic car show.
