No I don't think that would stop us. Lumberjackers/Tree Surgeons (in Europe) tend to wear ear protection to reduce the chance of hearing loss from the sound of their chainsaws...I'm sure that their ear protection would suffice or be made to do so.

They can't , and we are. Wood is a good thing, just like cows taste good. If you go through life with too much respect for all life, you won't be alive very long. What if Beans could scream? Sort of a silly "If" quesiton, but there have been far worse. Good luck

Lol. I take things from the Bible to apply them to my thoughts.
Trees do not have a nervous system like animals and humans or a brain to interpret nerve signals into accute pain. God allowed Noah to cut down many trees to build the Ark so I suppose it was okay to cut trees.

Its amazing how a family can be torn apart by something as simple as a pack of wolves.
I wish I had a cross made out of kryponite. That way I could keep both vampires AND superman away.
My favorite relative was Uncle Caveman. We called him Uncle Caveman because he was big hairy and on occasion, he would eat one of us. Later we found out he was a grizzly bear......
I can still recall old Mister Barnslow getting out every morning and nailing a fresh load of tadpoles to the old board of his. Then he'd spin it round and round, like a wheel of fortune, and no matter where it stopped he'd yell out, "Tadpoles! Tadpoles is a winner!" We all thought he was crazy. But then we had some growing up to do.

I would still cut them down as long as they would stop screaming after I cut them into 2x4's and built a house. A screaming house wouldn't that suck.

Pigs and cows scream as they watch the animals in line ahead of them getting their throats sliced open and hung on a hook at the slaughterhouse, and it doesn't stop us from killing them by the millions.

I find it highly unlikely. Animals can scream (kinda) and we kill them freely with little thought nor opposition.

If trees could scream, we would run away from them.
But they don't, so don't worry about it.
