Is dj the same as composer ? or he does arrangements ? or both ? what does a dj do?

A disk jockey (dj) plays records, or today I guess CDs. A composer writes music and often arranges it too. A songwriter writes songs, sometimes both words and music, but a composer actually creates the entire composition, like a symphony or a concerto. Does that help?

a dj is not the same as a composer because they don't write any of the music they play. They just play the music in a way to make you think it is another song but they can not get credit for making the actual music. the composer should get the credit for that.

DJ used to be just someone that played some records in a discotheque. Nowadays, it can mean anything:
- record player
- record mixer (house music)
- scratcher/mixer (old style hip-hop and more)
- just an artist name without any referrence to the above

all a Disc Jockey (DJ) does is spin records (or CD's). In rap groups, they mix from two or more turntables and scratch, etc.

A composer creates a song (music and/or lyrics)
