Im going to audition for the play "once upon a mattress" and i need to pratice and sing a broadway style song for the audition. I need help in finding song choices for my audition, that comes with sheet music for the accompanist to play. So if anyone can help it would be really appreciated. I want something that i can print off the internet, and not have to buy. So i need help in finding some broadway style song for me to sing, and the sheet music that comes with it. Thanks

As AP said most music esp. the genre you are after is copyrighted and still covered by copyrights laws. So to obtain anything over the net which you don't have to part with some funds is illegal. That decision is yours.
Have you not auditioned before? Have you heard many musicals before? Is there any song or songs that you really enjoyed and could sing from a musical you ahve heard before or been in or know someone who has been in one? MOst musicals have a recording you could practcie to, but you will have to go to a music shop or download and pay for the sheet music.

It is a good idea to choose a few songs to find the music? Do you know any one who has the sheet music for any songs from a musical? Maybe the people you are auditioningfor can help.

Hope that helps.

Uh, I think you need more help than anyone here can give you. Most people who are auditioning for a musical, are already versed in music (they can read it and have much sheet music in their possession, as they have been practicing for years). If you need to ask what you should sing at an auditon, then you ARE NOT READY to audition for this type of thing. You cannot print sheet music off the Internet. Broadway style songs take a lot of talent to sing and somehow, I don't think you're ready, in view of the fact you seem to be totally in the dark on this one. Most people who KNOW musci are well aware of many Broadway style songs. I think you need a reality check here.

Since current music is most likely copyrighted, you will probably have to pay something for the music unless you pirate it. You can purchase song books with lyrics and piano accompaniment at your local music store. There should be a section for voal sheet music, and most places can order music for you if they don't have it in stock at the time. If you are thinking of trying out for more musicals than this you might want to invest in an anthology of broadway songs. There are many in print and you will be able to choose from literally hundreds of songs for less than what you would have paid on the internet for just one. Happy hunting!

Most music is copyrighted so you will have a hard time finding music on the internet that is appropriate for your audition. Your best bet is to go to a library and check out a broadway style songbook or go to a music store and find a piece of music or a book.
