i have no idea and it goes to other sports like football and basketball as well. heck, i got kicked out of my HS basketball team after punching the crap out of a teammate who "decided" to hit me there.

Becaue all baseball players are latent homosexuals. The reason most occurrences take place in the dugout is because most of them are in the closet and try to keep this action out of plain view.
