Despite many years of women's activism, in many socieites today, these traditional roles still persist. And the visual media reinforces this. Think of the last time you saw an ad that involved a man using a new sweeper or dishcleaner?
I don't see anything wrong if a couple choices to be like this, but its wrong if they think this is how all women / men should be. Guys should pull their weight around the home, not just leave it up to the woman especially if she is working, Coming home to do housework and cook etc. is tiring and not having your partner helping out is stressful.
Cultural atitudes and behaviours are very very hard to change. But it can be done.

Too lazy to realize that we have better things to do. But that's perfectly fine cuz I plan on bringing home the bacon and expecting everything to be done if he's home before me!!

I wouldn't put it that way, it sounds so harsh. My husband prefers that I stay home with the kids and take care of the house because he wants to be the provider. I have no problem with it because he makes sure that we are all taken care of. I am now going to college and will finish in time for both of my children to be in school full time so that I can get a job.

Quite simply, there are men still thinking that way because some women still think that way.
It's just a difference of opinions and upbringing.
There's nothing wrong with thinking either way as long as the couple is happy with their decision.

It's probably because the Women's Liberation movement is still pretty new. It'll probably take a few more generations for the idea to set in properly.

Beats me. I like my girls to earn, it's a waste of time cleaning house when you can bring in money and pay someone else to do the cleaning.
