tiny little 18 volt power drill.
If it was a mosquito, it went down by your ankle. Possibly a flea or any number of hard shell biters.

A more important question is: How did the mosquito manage to fly when he was wearing thick leather shoes ?

Did you actually find the skeeter? If so, maybe it was already in there. You know, before you put the boots on. But if it wasn't in the boot already, it might have bitten you through a non-leather part of the boot. Or, if you hadn't been wearing long pants, it could have fallen into your boot from the top. What I do know for sure, is that I have been bitten even through my jeans. I would like to have seen those stingers. Good luck!

the average mosquito almost always takes his boots off first then having got his 1st bite follows you around until you visit another place which just happens to light his fire so, he can't resist biting you again and then, being hooked by now, he hangs around in the certain belief that you'll visit a 3rd place that will turn him on again - hence the 3rd bite
'course, it could be your feet stink or they just happen to sock it to him ;-]

Probably got in there the same way your foot did.
Your shoes won't be ecatly molded to you foot, there is always room to breathe and in that room is where the mosquito can get in.
Ouch for you :-}

It either got inside your sock, or it could have been another type of bug that gives itchy bites. Drug stores have lots of products that get rid of the itch.

Was probably an ant or a flea, or an assassin bug. The shoe wouldn't have bothered them.

Well, perhaps the mosquito was there before - with two brothers...? ;-)
