You don't see through your irises, you see through your pupil. So yes you can still see.

No one has BLACK eyes. That's impossible! People have really really dark brown which may look black but not actually black. You can research on this, I am right! I had to do a project on this! Besides, it will look extremely freaky to have all black eyes. Picture it?

Correction. Black eyes DO exsist. They are actually, like every color of black, a very dar kshade of another color, such as blue. Evidence standing: It runs in my family.

the iris is the colored part which does not affect the pupil which lets you see.
