That looks a bit small for a hamster. You should be able to fit a wheel, some sort of small house, and a food dish in your cage, and still have room for your hamster to move around freely.
A ten-gallon aquarium with a tight-fitting screen top works well for small animals. They are inexpensive and very easy to clean.

if i were you, i'd go bigger. heck for about the same price you could buy a big bin and cover the top with chicken wire so it can breath. its bad enough for them being cooped up in a cage, at least give the baby some room to run around. dwarf hamsters are clean too, so if your worried about the price of bedding and stuff... don't because you would only have to change the place they use for potty each day.

Well it depends upon what things you want in there. Will the wheel and water bottle fit in there and the hamster will still have plenty of room to play? They also need thinds to chew. So if you have room then sure.

Well, I would think this would be the smallest you could go. Most hampsters like to run a little. Also, having things (food dish, water dish, hampster wheel, etc) in there will cramp the space.

It's too small. You want as much room as possible. Go to petsmart.com and search for crittertrail cages. I'm getting one of those.
