as far as i can tell they are not programs on my computer either my settings are to allow no popups no exceptions at times they freeze my computer when i try to close them whats going on

download ad-aware and webroot spysweeper trial. even if you have a popup blocker it doesnt remove the malicious programs. it only blocks them. the two programs i mentioned should remove them.

If its not spyware (i recommend running ad-aware and spybot, even if you have run other programs), try using Firefox. It comes with a built in pop up blocker, and even if that fails you can install an extension called Adblock that can block any script, embed, even image, etc. from any site you specify.

some pop blockers don't do a very good job....if you have broadband, you need a good firewall.

also, which browser do you use? If you use explorer, then i suggest you use firefox or opera...they are less prone to pop ups.

You should use Mozilla firefox. It has all the features of Internet explorer and it prevents most spyware.
