Read the question? I'm not pregnant, and i'm PRO CHOICE but i'm just curious as to what people think is an ONLY REASON.

I don't think there is ever a reason for an abortion. Even if someone is raped, it wasn't the baby's fault, and so there is no reason to kill it. If you couldn't handle keeping the baby, you could put it up for adoption, at least that way it would live. All these other reasons are selfish. The baby didn't choose any of this, and there is never an acceptable reason to kill an inoccent baby.
On the subject of if the mother would die is kind of tricky. I know I couldn't ever have an abortion even if they told me I might die. How could you live knowing that you killed your baby in order for you to live? I couldn't do it. Also doctors aren't always right. They could have been wrong and you could have both been fine. Abortion is never right.

I'm pro choice. I'm just curious as to what Lenore meant by rh neg factors?
My blood is rh neg. There was a chance that my son would not be. What this meant medically is that my body would see him as an infection. This would not cause any problems initially. However if he did not have my blood type, and i became pregnant with another child who did not have my blood type my body would this time try to fight the second baby thinking it was an infection sometimes causing stillbirth.
However as they hospital knew my bloodtype, as most hospitals do check now. I was given a dose on anti-bodies which stops my body thinking my son was a foreign boy and causing problems with future pregnancy, simple enough, no need for abortion there.
Back on the subject. I feel every woman has the right to choose. I was terrified when I found out I was pregnant, but I knew this was meant to be.
Ps to all the people who seem to think everyone who has un expected pregnancy was stupid enough to have sex without contraception you are wrong. I was on the injection when I fell pregnant. Turns out some people bodies just blast out a dose of hormones making it useless. Everybodys different. And everyone has the right to choose.

Incestial rape or life threatening to the mother. But I can only choose one so I would say it would be the kife threatening reason. A rape baby could be given up for adoption.
I am also pro-choice because of these reasons. I do not believe in abortion as birth control but since it is a choice, so be it.

There is no reason for an abortion whatsoever IMO. When 2 people have sex and they know the risk factors of unprotected sex and if something happens because those 2 people failed to use protection then neither should be trying to run from it because both parties are at fault and need to deal with the consequences and not try to cover it up.

I think there are several reasons. I can't think of just one. It hurts to think that abortion is stopping a life, but if this is a child concieved of rape, out of wedlock (if that's a problem for the person), when the parents are financially unstable, or just plain not ready to have a baby (too young, has other things going on in life, etc).

I can't see myself having an abortion even if I was raped. If I decided not to keep the baby then I would give the child up for adoption. There are so many loving couples out there that can't have children of their own. And the way I see it if you are "RESPONSIBLE" enough to spread your legs then you should do the responsible thing and take care of and be the loving parent that you should be. It's not the child's fault that it's mother couldn't keep her legs closed so why punish the child with the death sentence!!!!

The ONLY reason I would ever consider abortion would be if I got pregnant after being raped. That's it. I couldn't imagine life without my son, and I find it hard to believe that people willingly throw such a wonderful thing away without a second thought.

The only reason to have an abortion is if the pregnancy puts the mothers life in mortal danger. And maybe.. if someone is raped.

The only reason in my opinion is if the woman was raped or the life of the mother and/or child is at stake. Other than that i feel you did what it took to be in that situation so you should not take the life of a child for your mistakes

I'm pro choice too but one major reason for abortion is pregnancy through incest.
