the only issue in the middle east is that palestine was divided into two states one arab and one jewish the jews started buying land and companies and fired the arabs the arabs then got angry and went to war with israel israel then conquered all of palestine and occupied the west bank and gaza. syria egypt and jordan went to war with israel and tried to get the palestiians land back but they failed and israel now is twice as large as it was originally supposed to be and arab terrorist grroups such as al qaeda and hezbollah and hammas are fighting israel to destroy its and get all of palestine back thats the whole issue and terrorists are spronging up lefat and right all over the miidle east and setting up headquarters and joining into the countries government to prolong and strenghten their efforts there will never be peace in the middle east untill the world stops messing in middle eastern affairs that means stopping going to war wih dictaors and stop trying to bring democracy in the middle east thats the last thing they need a strong dicator means that a country will be held together and that tehre will be order but as soon as you invade and try to bring democracy it will be just as iraq became there will be hundreds of people just fighting for no reason get rid of foteigners and give it time then there will be paece in the middle east

The ancient Jews decided that the land belongs to them because God said so. The Jews themselves, and I mean the ancient Israelites-Canaanites, were a mix of many different peoples all who decided to accept the new monotheism that Abraham was preaching.

In modern history, after the British pulled out of the area, they said the land should go to the Jews. The UN agreed and parcelled the land to the Jews who were declaring themselves a Nation. Of course, the Arabs disagreed; the UN took Palestine, illegally, from the Arabs and gave it to a religious organization.

I don't want anyone to get me wrong, I am not against the Jews, I have Jewish ancestry. What I'm against is the UN taking land from one people and giving it to another. Personally, I think this is all the UN's fault. The Jews were never a nation, they were never a tribe, and they never had a country of their own. They were from pre-Arab tribes just like the rest of the Arabs. It was their decision to adopt a new ideology that made them different, and I truly believe that the UN and the British sided with the new Jewish Nation because they were closer to the Christians than the Muslims were.

And yes, if someone attacks us, we should fight back. Iraq did not attack us, however, a single terrorist organization in another country did.

Your question requires a two-part answer.
1. There is a Jewish State founded in 1948 in the Middle East called Israel which is made up mainly of immigrants and their descendants.
2. The Arabs who object to the existance of the State of Israel won't rest, (never, not ever), until it is dismantled and all the Israelis who are descended from people who arrived after 1900 or so have been expelled.

I really think the "root issue" with Middle East is why OPEC doesn't share it's trillion dollar wealth with it's satellite countries, leaving them to live as if the fifth centry's still going on.

Government frustrations in the satellite countries surrounding OPEC spark bright and grow onto embittered resentments and "holy wars" and land terrority disputes... they all branch off to and lead back to OPEC not sharing the abundant wealth.

The issue is land, "Holy Land." Both Jews and the Palestinians want the same land to be soley theirs. It's an impossible situation which has been going on for hundreds of years and, I think, will never be resolved. They absolutely hate each other, which is ironic, because it's all done in the name of religion?

The root issue is that there are two cultures: one alive, vibrant, intelligent and dynamic. This culture has done more with a couple of million people than the other has done with hundreds of millions. The other culture is dead, without any accomplishments in centuries. This "culture" can do nothing to assuage their feelings of inferiority but murder and destroy.

Great question, genius. The root problem is that Israel is surrounded by people who have vowed to wipe them off the map. It goes back in history forever.

Then there were the crusades....

Muslims don't like the Jewish people and want to annihilate them, they don't believe that Israel has any right to live on this planet. And the Jewish people are just trying to live a life like any normal human being and so they defend themselves in order to achieve that.
