HAHA. Nice choice of words there. I like happy people and I do not feel uncomfortable around gay (homosexual) people. One of my dear friends has a gay son. He is funny, respectful, and an all around nice guy. I don't agree with his lifestyle, but I don't avoid him because of that.

J_Sunstar (and in part the rest of you people who assume the question is regarding homosexuals):
Gay is not a synonym for happiness. The DEFINITION of gay was and still is a cheerful, happy person. It was not always used to mean a homosexual. Just like the word f a g g o t means a bundle of twigs or sticks as well as a homosexual.
With that said, if you are generally unhappy and sad, I am pretty sure the gay people don't much appreciate your company either. Stop being a downer.

I have never been around people that choose that as their sexual orientation that I am aware of - What you think that makes them different people? I dont know about that.
We are all here and that is all that matters.
You should be happy - Why are you not happy? Do you have a roof over your head? Do you have food in your belly? Do you have a hand to hail a cab? Do you have legs that can walk you where you want to go? Can you breathe on your own? Can you feed yourself? Think about these things and there will be no reason for you to be so unhappy - However there are people out there that have a lot more serious issues.

I sense that you are using the word gay as in a synonym for happy.. but I only feel uncomfortable when I realize I just used the word gay like "That's so gay.." around one of them and then they get all mad at me even though I don't mean it as anything negative towards them.

i have been around gay people when i was about 14 and then i wasn't very comfortable because they were setting up a store my aunt worked at and these 2 guys were like laying on top of each other kissing. so that was a little weird for me since they were supposed to be working.

when i was younger i used to feel uncomfortable around gay people .but when i lived in Germany the owner of th bar i frequented was gay [this was in the late 60s ]and it wasn't even called gay in those days
he never came on to any of the straight guys and was one of the most decent human beings i have ever met
as with every one their are decent gays and obnoxious gays it all depends on the person

They are no different then a straight person. Some are a little bit more eccentric, but what straight person isn't a little off the wall?
