me and my friends want be fashion designers. we have designs and we can sew. how do we break into the business, we're pretty young.

Start a portfolio of sketches. Get into classes about fabrics, sewing and design. Read fashion magazines and practice spotting trends on the street. Take all your research and draw up something new and interesting. Look into colleges that have fashion design programs. The more you do now, the better chance you have.

The fashion industry, as you can well imagine, is a very competitive one. To succeed takes knowledge, patience, talent and a bit of luck. As far as the knowledge bit goes, I found some sources that will assist you further.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore as well. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have about the clothing industry as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

First at all, welcome to Fashion Industry, you need quality, perseverance, resistance, honesty and creativity.
Even if you don't like finances, you must control that your raw materials to produce your item, don't become too expensive or too difficult to do.
Don't remain doing samples, think big, but take small steps.
Update your career with courses like display design, brochure design, fashion photography or Fabric trends.
Make your work a mission not a whim, propose something attractive and available.Give a guarantee in your products and hear your clients.
Be proud about your work but not arrogant.
Make a it a business, if you remain in a low profile without long term vision, you will disappear soon.
Learn all the logistics of the fashion industry which involves: production of the garment and production of the fashion show.

im a fashion designer too, and i learnt that my dreams wont come true by just sitting and thinking some one will discover me. im learning how to sew my designs and sell it to people, pretty soon i know some one will see my clothes and be interested in them
