Has it ever snowed in So. California?

I've heard that it has snowed in Southern California before but I have never witnessed it.

Southern California has many places where it snows. There are mountain ranges that receive snow even in desert regions. Here in the Mojave high desert we get snow during the winter often. In the winter of 2004 we had 9 inches of snow within 48 hours. Right now it is 9:35am and 91 degrees and will likely reach 110 degrees by noon. But we have air coolers -- not air conditioners -- that have water in them to keep cool with and so it's comfortable. But there's lots of great ski resorts close by.

Member of a group I belong to posted a picture a bit over a year ago of snow at his place in Southern California...he lives in the Mojave Desert and there was an inch or two of snow sitting on the cactus outside his place.

Yes it has. My in-laws live in Lancaster, and it snowed there last winter. Many people went out and had as much fun with it as they could. Also, I grew up in Upland, and my whole life I never saw it snow there until one day, at the foothills of Mt. Baldy, I saw snow falling for about 2 minutes, and then it stopped. That was about 14 years ago. It was pretty wild. Most of the snow in So Cal is found in the mountains, but on rare occasions it does occur at lower elevations.
