once upon a time, there was a prince who lived beyond the land of the Wobbles......

In a kingdom called Weebles. He was an only child, to a very young queen, and a very old king. He grew up a sad, lonely child, unloved by his wicked, materialistic mother and old, womanizing father.
One day, when he was just 11 years old, he ran from the kingdom, and went deep into the forest. There, he met a little girl in the woods. She was crying.
"Why are you crying?" He asked walking up to her.
The little girl gasped, and started to stand.
"How did you get here?" She asked, surprised.
"I ran away." He replied. "I live in Weebles with my parents. Where are you from?"
"I am from Wobbles. I too lived with my parents." She sighed. "But they died yesterday. My uncle killed them, and now he is trying to marry me so he can take over the kingdom!"
"Don't be frightened, I will marry you instead!"
The little girl smiled, but she didn't laugh, because the boy was just that, a boy. But he was a sweet boy, and she liked him.
"My name is Maureen. What's your name?"
"Timothy."
And so Timothy and Maureen became best friends.

They continued to meet in the woods for many years, each time coming up with new plots and ideas so that Maureen would not have to marry her dreaded evil uncle.
In the meantime, Timothy's own father had died, and his mother had remarried. She had a child on the way, but oh wicked as she was, she was trying to figure out a way to get rid of her son.

One night, as he was sleeping, his mother sneaked inside his bedroom and poured a magic potion down his throat. The poor prince was instantly killed. But the next morning, his body had mysteriously disappeared. The whole palace searched and searched, but no one could find him. Soon, the prince was declared a deserter, and forever banished from the kingdom.
Maureen had been missing her prince for days. She had grown, too, and she was no longer a little girl, but a young lady, and she was in distress. She was to wed her uncle in 3 days.
As she was standing in the woods, she was approached by a huge wolf, standing at the top of the hill. Frightened as she was, she made no move to run, and the wolf slowly came forward. He nudged her side, and she let him follow her home.
Maureen did marry her uncle, but since the wolf was now her new pet, he made no attempt to harm her in any way.
But one night he had the wolf tied up outside, and he went into Maureen's chamber, locking the door behind him.
Outside, the wolf had injured two of the men trying to tie him up, and was howling, calling to Maureen. She heard him, and as she was looking out her window, her uncle caught her from behind. As she struggled with him, the wolf broke free of his chains and went tearing through the castle. He burst into the room as the uncle threw Maureen down onto her bed. The uncle sneered in anger, and pulled out his sword. But before he could strike, the wolf lunged forward and killed him.
Maureen screamed, covering her eyes. When it was over, she ran towards her wolf, crying. She hugged him tightly.
"I love you, wolf." She whispered.
Just then, he turned into himself again, the boy she had once known who was no longer a boy, he had grown into a man. He smiled at her, and kissed her briefly.
"But our love can never be." He said.
Maureen's eyes slowly began to close. His kiss had drugged her into a deep sleep.
In the morning, when she awoke, her uncle's body had disappeared, and so had her wolf.
For many years she went back into the wood searching for him, but she never found him. Maureen eventually married, and it was not poor Timothy, who's disappearance was never unsolved. She loved her husband, though, and bore him many children.
But sometimes, during the night, she would find herself standing her bedroom window, looking out across the Wobbles land into Weebles territory. She could hear his howl, and on some nights, during a full moon, she could almost see the sulking silhouette of a large beast, creeping across the hills....
