Ok ive had bad anxiety attacks at least one or twice a day for the past 2 weeks some are short, and some are mild and long lasting. Ive been mainly having the mild and long lasting ones, which include having difficulty in breathing, heart warness etc. But my question is can anxiety make you tired and lethargic? Like whenever i excercise i feel tired way more easily than before. I went to the doctor and evrythings fine. Ive b workout evryday at the gym and i run evryday after. This having toruble doing cardio just started like 3 days ago. I think it caused form being so anxious all the time its casuing me to lose energy and get winded easier. Becaause having trouble breathing, heartp unding for al ong time, may cause oyu to get tired more easier. Is my anxiety causing this or is this something to b more concerned aobut? Im going to the psychiatrist next week maybe it will get better than when my anxiety gets less and less? Am i just thinking about it too much? SERIOUS answers plz

Anxiety and tiredness can both be signs of depression. Glad you are seeing a psychiatrist. Good Luck.

Hey,

I've dealt with anxiety too. It can make you tired, it's like your nerves are always running and like any other part of your body they tire out and you will feel tired in general.

Let me reccommend a book that helped me cope with anxiety. It's called "Self Help for Your Nerves" by Claire Weekes. Also, there is an online community that I am part of where you will read about others going through the same thing you are. There is so much info there, and it'll make you realize that this will pass and there are so many other people dealing with the same thing. The website is:
nomorepanic.co.uk

give it a try...

Take Care,

Joe

Yes anxiety can cause exhaustion, feeling tired, lethargic etc. See a Dr and I would'nt workout for now until i find out the cause. Overexerting ur body can lead to more serious problems. Also stay away form caffeine, sugar, or other stimulants for now until u see ur dr.

Tiredness can be a sign of depression. Perhaps you have a combination of anxiety and depression. I am glad that you have an appointment with a Psychiatrist next week, he/she will be able to help you.

Good luck.

Don't be too quick to relate it to food or diabetes. It could be bronchitis or pneumonia. People tend to think that you have to have a cold or be congested to have pneumonia but that's not true. If your chest is hurting you should go to the emergency room -not your private doctor- since they can check your sugar levels and give you x-rays in one visit. The things that can usually cause chest pain can go from bad to worse very quickly so don't waste time.

Yes-- Anxiety can make you fatigued. Depression can also. I would talk to a health professional about it. You might not need medication, just someone to talk with about your symptoms.

I think anxiety could well make you feel fatigued. Anxiety burns up a lot of calories.

yes, but it sounds like you should see your dr just to be sure there's nothing else going on.
