I have an ATI Radeon 9500 graphics card
I want to upgrade my motherboard and processor using this package (see link for morre detail on it) http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=112614&cks=TAF>

Are the two compatable? Is one PCI and the other APG?
Could really use some help on this!

Your 9500 will work just fine with the motherboard in that package as it has an 8x AGP slot.

If your interested in gaming then some of the other suggestions about moving to a PCI Express motherboard and video card would be good but doing that will cost you quite a bit more.

On the other hand if you're not planning on doing any serious 3D gaming or 3D design and rendering, then stick with your plan.

Nope, totally different slot on the motherboard. AGP will not work with PCI-e motherboards.

If it is about the video card, then bail on the AGP or 9500 and find an good PCI-e. If you stay with the AGP slot now, you will be screwing yourself over in the future.

Yes the graphics card is compatible with the new motherboard.
Your graphics card has an AGP interface, so does the new mother board. It should work fine. Stick with an AGP card, they're faster.

Honestly, I have no idea....sorry! What I can tell you is that if you call the manufacturer of the ATI Radeon 9500, you can usually speak to a tech. support team. Just explain to them what you're looking to do and they should be able to assist you in telling you if it's compatible; and if not, tell you what would be.
Good Luck :)

If your ATI graphics card connects to your current motherboard using an AGP slot, then I believe they are compatible.
nforce3 motherboards have AGP 8x

Take your computer to the computer speed shop and ask the doctor there if he can do this.
