well ; we are symmetrical, throughout our bodies and some organs come in two parts Eg, eyes , lungs kidneys
some times they are joined as one organ , of two halves .
Dare i say buttocks! here? you even have a line down your tummy as well .
your tongue is a very flexible, complex organ, and it has a crease right up the middle ,
we all have it some, more marked than others

everybody has it and since tongue is sectioned into different parts,it is supposed to have lines.there are many taste buds on the the tongue and not all parts of a tongue can taste.for instance,one part of the tongue can taste sour and the other part,sweet.so as an identification,there is a line in the middle....
