Thanks for the laugh!
And I greatly sympathize.
Alas, that *would* be unfairly discriminatory if Yahoo! were to do it. I think we therefore have to discriminate, ourselves, when sorting through the garbage questions and answers posted by bored, rude, and/or intellectually challenged individuals.
Where it irritates me, most, I think, is when I give a sincere answer to an *apparently* sincere and intelligent question, but the asker then chooses the most inane response as best. I've spent my time and effort giving them a useful, accurate answer and they pick the one that makes them laugh, "feels" best, or is quickest to read, even if it's full of inaccuracies (which they'd know if they cared enough about their own question to check the links I provide). Grrrr!
Though I haven't done it yet, I recently decided I'm going to take a quick glance at an asker's question/answer history before investing my time in them (leaving the vacuous ones to their own ilk). Maybe that's the next best thing to your IQ test -- or even more useful, in some ways.

I agree with you! A lot of the questions and answers on here are in broken English and completely illogical. I think Yahoo Answers would be a much better place if you had to have a certain degree of speaking ability before posting. Who will write up the petition?

I love it! I'm mostly amazed at all the bad grammer. Surely everyone can be expected to make an error now and then but some questions are so poorly formed, you can't even tell what the question really is!

I can deal with stupid questions, but what drives me crazy is all of the questions to get attention, like 'is my aviator hot?' . I wish that they could kick those people off and then not allow them to make a new account, however I don't see how that would be possible.

Now that I have unlimited question answering ability I can be choosier so I learned to ignore the over the top silly hateful questions. Unless of course I'm in the mood to chew then its fun. 139

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm tired of having to tortuously read through questions and answers to even try to understand what the person meant. Couple this with some of the garbage some of these idiots spew out......It can get tedious at times.
For starters, those who can't spell.....at the upper right of the answer box, is a little thing called "CHECK SPELLING"......see it?.....Good...now USE IT!

IQ doesn't mean a thing if you don't use it.
But since you are mentioning a rules change. How about a few new abuse catagories. Instigating trouble, insulting to a group, and my favorite name calling.
Ten report of abuse and your handle gets banned for 30 days. Ten more and it goes to 60 days. Ten more and it goes to 120 days.

I'm not sure about that... maybe they should sensor the answers, but the truth is that you never know how is going to say the best answer, some people may not be very smart in some aspects, but I'm sure there is something that they know better than anyone else...

No. My IQ is 161. Does that measure up to your standards? And some of those posts are actually funny. So if its really so annoying, ignore the people.

Petition Y! A all you want, they probably have more important concerns than the quality of this particular service.
My IQ is 121, is that high enough? read some of my answers before you say yes or no.
