Cranberry juice 100% juice not the sweet mixed kind they have sugar that will make it worse...no sugar ie...no soda and Candy's...lots and lots of water, keep peeing too the more you pe the quicker the water is flushing the infection out! cranberry's contain a natural agent that stop the infection ad-hearing to the walls of the bladder etc. keep your privet area clean and avoid soaps and perfumes in that area some of them can cause UTI's and always go to the bathroom after intercourse this will rid any bacteria from the bladder.
the speed of relief depends on how long the infection has taken hold of the urinary system! you may need to get over the counter meds then use the cranberry juice as a daily life long prevention plan...its worked for me! also reoccurring infection can mean under laying illness get looked at if doesn't ease or clear up after 3or4 days...hope this helps....

Drink plain old Cranberry juice. Not the cocktail mixture stuff or that that is mixed with other juices. Also lots of water. I was told by an Herbologist to drink a cup of hot water with 1 tablespoon of Cider Vinegar in it, twice a day, along with the other, and I would get rid of the infection quickly. I tried it, and it worked for me. I still do the vinegar trick, and I feel great. I seldom get sick any more. Try it. It might work for you, too. Oh, and if you can't handle the taste of the vinegar, add 1 teaspoon of raw honey in it. Odd taste, but you can tolerate it that way. Good luck.

go to the frozen juice section and buy a can of concentrated 100% cranberry juice and mix the whole thing with 32 oz. of water. This works better and much faster than the premixed stuff, the only drawback is you may want to do it when you don't have any plans because you will probably get the craps within a couple hours of drinking it down.

yes cranberry juice is the answer, however you may need an antibiotic first either from your Dr or in the form of garlic from the health food store Then follow up with cranberry juice which works well in keeping the urinary tract in the clear

One you have a full blown infection you need to see a doctor and get antibiotics. You wouldn't want to get pyelonephritis, kidney damage or kidney failure! But at the first twinge of an infection cranberry juice can stop it! If you really cannot stand cranberry juice you can get tablets at the Health Food Store called CranActin.

Cranberries are the most effective. You can usually get concentrated vitamins of nothing but cranberry, or just go get some craisins or the juice. Not the best tasting, but it works. That and drinking lots and lots of water.

The best thing would be to make your own cranberry juice using organic cranberries. Most bottled cranberry juice contains too much sugar.
