Bush Sr. attended Enron's CEO, Kenneth Lay's funeral. Does he feel bad for the guy? Sounds fishy doesn't it?

Once again, people, no abuse necessary. Obviously, this an eithical issue here. How close were they really? Is it right for a political figure like GW to be there? Would you go to a sereal rapist's funeral if you were friends in the past?

President Bush Sr. was paying respect for the dearly departed. Even though he was convicted on the Enron deal, Ken Lay was a family man. He and his wife also supported many charities to the tune of millions around Houston. So even though he was convicted of something bad, he also did a lot of good.

The Bush's live in Houston, TX and are very good friend with the Ley's. GWB asked Ken Ley to be his secretary of energy, but he declined. After the Enron collapse GWB distanced himself from the Ley's for obvious political reasons.

They were friends back in the day when things were good for Lay's - guess Bush believe that no matter how bad things were in the end, you always go and mourn a friend.
